It’s been a while since I’ve done this, but here is another post for Grace Upon Grace! I’m linking up with Jordyn over at She Who Fears, and we’re examining our lives for the graces that God has given us. I love these posts because they make me look back and realise that even in the not so great times God was still there. Since it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, my list is going to be all over the place. If you want to join in, stop over by She Who Fears, here!
+ We’re having a baby!!!! Ahhhhhh!!! Okay, so maybe that’s an obvious grace, but every time Little Bean kicks or I get to hear her heartbeat at the doctor’s I am reminded of this amazing gift that God is giving us. It’s a good reminder too that the experience of pregnancy, the good and the bad, will be so worth it in the end. I cannot wait for June to finally get to meet our daughter!
+ God has given me the opportunity to become a stay-at-home mom! Though it is not for sure yet because I have to get approval to get out of my work contract, but D and I have talked a lot about it, and we both feel that it is best for Little Bean, for our family, and for my sanity if I stay at home once she arrives. We weren’t sure at first if we could swing it at first now that we have a mortgage too, and I will owe a bunch of monies for the unfulfilled portion of my contract, but God is definitely showing us that this is the right plan because we got the numbers in our budget to work out. Now we just have to wait to hear if it’s been approved! (Keep us in your prayers!)
+ I feel like the quality time that D and I have had lately has been really good. We’ve always been careful to make sure that we spend time together, but in the past we admittedly spent a lot of it watching TV. Lately that’s changed and we’ve been spending more time talking, or playing games (Tenzi is addictive y’all), or reading aloud.
+ Recently I feel as though God has brought me closer to my friends, and that they have been there just when I needed them. There’s a lot going on with work and at home and with this baby, and I have felt myself coming loose at the seams a few times, but each time one of my friends reaches out just to say hi, and it has been such a blessing.
What graces has God given you lately? Come and share over at She Who Fears!
