This is a follow-up post on using reuseable menstrual products. Here’s the first post.
As I had posted a while ago, my plan was to use a cup, the Moon Keeper to be exact. But after trying it several times, at different parts of my cycle, I just couldn’t get comfortable with it. It is tricky to insert at first, but I gradually got the hang of it, but despite that I just couldn’t get it to fit comfortably. And what I was hoping for, was comfort! Harumph.
So instead, I turned to the little cloth liners I had bought from Party in My Pants. At first I just had some mini liners, which I used as a sort of back up for tampons. But then I took the plunge and ordered some of their medium pads, and LOVED THEM!!!! They are super easy to use, and much more absorbent than tampons. I usually only have to change them once a day, or after I shower or workout. And they are super easy to clean, I just rinse them off and throw them in the laundry basket. Or if I’m out or at work they snap up really small so I can throw them in my pocket or purse and don’t have to worry about a mess. And D doesn’t think they’re weird either, they just get thrown into the wash like all our other dirty clothes. If you’re looking for a better alterative to tampons or disposable pads, these are it!!
In my humble opinion. 🙂
