Happy Monday everyone! I feel like I haven’t done a Grace Upon Grace post in forever, and that is far too long. I am linking up again with Jordyn over at She Who Fears to share the graces God has shown me in the past two weeks.
- Sometimes it is really tough being an adult, and I wish there really was such a thing as an easy button. I’ve been struggling with several things over the past few weeks, but I have found a lot of comfort in prayer. I find myself praying in the car to and from the train, during my train ride, during work, while I’m cooking, when I’m falling asleep, always. Before now I never really prayed that often, but now I find the peace that comes with prayer to be amazing.
- Pickles! D and I spent the last two days making lots of pickles. We made dill pickles, dilly beans, pickled asparagus, and some pickled brussels sprouts for D. I love canning, and it is wonderful to be able to do it again. We go through more savory treats than we do jams or chutneys and we were out of dilly beans. *Gasp!* I am thankful for the time and money to be able to make such goodies. I think that pickled beets and perhaps more dilly beans are on the docket for the next few weeks…
- I have been attending Mass these past few weeks again, and I find it to be such a profound experience and these past two weeks especially. I have never felt His presence so clearly. I am still reading tons and learning all I can about the Catholic Church, but the more I read the more I feel called. I am so blessed to have a dear friend, GForce, to go to with my questions and concerns.
- D and I are in the process of buying a house! They accepted our offer, but we are awaiting some inspections required by our financing, and some requests we have before we know for sure if we can keep moving forward. I am praying that it all goes through, I think the house is great for us, but I know that if it all falls through God will bring us somewhere else.
I am so excited to write up a Grace post again, it makes me look for and recognize all that God has shown and given to me through His grace. Join us and link up here!
