Rather than having resolutions for 2014, I decided to do something different. I stumbled upon Lara Casey’s Make It Happen, and realized that when I make resolutions I don’t really get anywhere. What I wanted was to change, I wanted the better me to become a habit not just an item on a list. So I came up with goals for 2014! But that was in March… and since then I have admittedly done very little towards achieving my goals.
Several ladies I follow on the blogosphere post on their monthly goals, and I think that is what I need to do as well! So here are my goals for the month of May:
- Work out 3 times a week
- Have 15 minutes of quiet time 3 times a week
- Finish the book I am reading
- Write five (more) blog posts
- Do yoga once a week
I know that these goals seem tiny, but I am struggling to make any progress on my goals. I think that I need to be more aware of my goals and see you everyday. I am going to write them out and hang them both at home and at work.
I also need to break down my goals into baby steps. As they are, they’re too overwhelming! I want to be better, I want to grow, but I don’t know how. I am hoping that by doing monthly goals I can make a little more progress. I think I should done this earlier…
What are your goals for May?
